Pay Attention
Fulton County accident report states that on October 17, 2018 Driver 1 was turning left onto Spaulding Drive and did not see Vehicle 2 coming over the hill to cross the intersection. Driver 2 said he applied the brakes, long skid marks are visible, and tried to steer out of the collision but was unable to avoid impact. Driver 2 also said a pedestrian male walked in front of vehicle 1 as she was coming to the intersection and does not know if that played a part in her turning left. Witness 1 was in his vehicle traveling WB toward the intersection and saw he had the red traffic signal. He saw Vehicle 1 turn in front of Vehicle 2. Note: Always approach a hills & intersections with caution.
Stop and Go
DeKalb County accident report stated that on October 13, 2018 Vehicle 2 was traveling NB in lane 1 on I-285 near Memorial Drive. Vehicle 1 was traveling directly behind Vehicle 2. Driver 2 stated that the traffic was very heavy and as she was slowing down her vehicle was struck from behind by Vehicle 1. Driver 1 confirmed that she did hit Vehicle 2. No injuries were reported. Driver 1 was cited for Following Too Closely and was unable to move her vehicle. It was moved to the shoulder. Vehicle 2 was operable. Note: While driving in heavy, stop and go traffic, use extra caution!
Keep Your Distance
Cobb County accident report stated that on October 12, 2018 Vehicles 1 & 2 were traveling from the driveway of Cumberland Pkwy and Vehicle 2 entered following too closely and rammed Vehicle 1 while turning into the center lane. Vehicle 1 had damage to the rear driver’s side door and rear left panel. Driver 1 experienced pain in his arm but refused medical treatment. Driver 2 was cited for following too closely. Note: Keep your distance.

Fulton County accident report stated that on October 11, 2018 Driver 1 was attempting to exit a shopping center parking lot on Roswell Rd at Hammond Dr. She said that she was about to turn left to go north, when she saw a vehicle pulling into the parking lot, as she pulled out. She stated that she thought she had enough time to clear both the lanes and enter safely, but that when she entered the road she didn’t see Vehicle 2. Both drivers complained of injuries and required medical attention. Driver 1 was cited for failure to yield when entering the roadway. Driver 2 had no registration. Note: Pay attention while turning and have your documents in order.
Backing Up? Pay Attention
Clayton County accident report stated that on October 10, 2018 a unit was called to investigate a private property incident and Driver 1 advised that while backing up, she looked over her shoulder and did not see anything and so started to back into the refueling stall. As she backed into the stall, she felt the bump as she backed into Vehicle 2. Driver 2 stated that she saw Vehicle 1 backing into her, blew the horn, but was unable to prevent Vehicle 1 from striking her. No one was cited due to the incident happening on private property, and no injuries were reported. Note: When backing up, continue to back up until you stop!
Must Yield by Law
Fulton County officer was dispatched on October 7, 2018, to the intersection of Columns Drive and Monica Drive in response to an accident. The report stated that Driver 1 was traveling SB on Columbia Drive and began to make a turn onto Monica Drive. Driver 2 was traveling SB and as a result of Driver 1’s left turn, Driver 2 collided with Driver 1. There were no injuries reported and all parties refused medical treatment. Driver 1 was cited for Failure to Yield While Turning Left. Note: It is always the left turning driver’s responsibility to yield to all oncoming traffic is clear!
Keep Your Distance
Cobb County accident report stated that on October 5, 2018 Vehicles 1 & 2 were traveling from the driveway of Cumberland Pkwy and Vehicle 2 entered following too closely and rammed Vehicle 1 while turning into the center lane. Vehicle 1 had damage to the rear driver’s side door and rear left panel. Driver 1 experienced pain in his arm but refused medical treatment. Driver 2 was cited for following too closely. Hit and Run
Dekalb County accident report stated that on October 4, 2018 an officer was called to the scene of an accident on I-85 SB. Driver 2 advised that he was traveling SB on I-85 in the second lane when observed another vehicle speeding up behind him, when the other vehicle struck the right side of his Vehicle, and continued driving. Driver 2 then stated that he then lost control of his vehicle and began to spin out of control. As he was spinning, he began to brake to keep from spinning into the center of the roadway, and then impacted the guard rail. After his vehicle came to a stop, he realized that the other car had sped away and he could not obtain any identifying information on Driver 1. Driver 2 stated that he was having severe left shoulder pain and believed that his shoulder was dislocated from the collision, and he was taken to Medical Center for further medical treatment. The officer could not identify any evidence that concurred with the info given by Driver 2. No citations were given. Note: In case of a rear ending, try to obtain vehicle description, if the license plate cannot be obtained.
Turn Lane is Just For Turning
Cobb county accident report stated that on October 4, 2018 Driver 1 was attempting to make a left turn onto Roswell Road. He advised that drivers in lanes 1 &2 of Roswell Rd stopped and motioned him forward. When Vehicle 1 proceeded through lanes 1 & 2 on Roswell Rd South, he failed to see Vehicle 2 traveling in the center lane. That is when the front bumper of Vehicle 1 struck the front bumper of Vehicle 2. Both vehicles received moderate damage and were removed by their respective owners. Driver 2 received a citation for Restriction of Center Lane. Note: You are more responsible in the center lane
Failing Brakes
Clayton County accident report stated that on Septemeber 30, 2018 Driver 1 was traveling SB on Hwy 85 in the left turning lane to make a left onto Lamar Hutcheson Pkwy. He stated that he was slowing down for the red light, but his brakes went out and he couldn’t stop. He rear-ended Vehicle 2. Driver 2 was in the turn lane on Hwy 85, stopped at the light when Vehicle 1 ran into the rear of her car. Driver 2 stated that she was experiencing back and neck pain, but refused medical attention. No other injuries were reported. Vehicle 2 had slight damage and the rear bumper was dislocated. Driver 1 was cited for following too closely. Note: It is your responsibility to keep your vehicle in good working order at all times. And when driving, keep your distance at least 1-1.5 car lengths behind the vehicle in front.
My Foot Slipped
Clayton County accident report stated that on September 28, 2018 Vehicle 1 was traveling NB in the inside lane at the intersection of Spring Road and Carolyn Drive. Driver 1 said she stopped, waiting for the light to change. Vehicle 2 was also traveling NB in the inside turn lane at the same intersection. Driver 1 was following too closely to Vehicle 2 and her stated that her foot slipped off the brake pedal. As a result, her car struck the bumper of Vehicle 2. Neither complained of any injuries. Driver 1 was cited for following too closely and for a retired registration. Note: Pay Attention and wear proper shoes
Changing lanes
Dekalb County accident report stated that on September 27, 2018 Vehicle 1 merged into the left hand lane while traveling on 120 at the intersection of Zion Road. Driver 1 stated that while traveling on 120, he observed construction cones sectioning off his lane. He said he attempted to merge into the other lane, and Vehicle 2 passed him too quickly, and the two vehicles collided. Vehicle 1 sustained several scratches on the left rear and corner side of the vehicle. Vehicle 2 also sustained scrapes on the right side of the vehicle. Neither driver reported any injury. Driver 1 was cited for improper lane change. Watch out for vehicles in that other lane!
Pay Attention
Cobb County accident report stated that on September 26, 2018 Vehicle 1 & Vehicle 2 were both traveling along the long stretch of a curved lane from EB on Cooper Lake Road to turn NB onto S Cobb Drive when Vehicle 1 collided into the rear bumper of Vehicle 2. Driver 1 reported that Vehicle 2 was Not going to turn originally and chose to swerve into the Left turning lane, too close to his car, but did admit that he was talking on his cell phone just before the collision, which confirms what Driver 2 stated, that Driver 1 was distracted and eased into his car. No injuries were reported and Driver 1 was cited for failure to maintain lane, driving too closely and no proof of insurance. Note: Wrong is wrong. Talking on the phone while driving distracts people.
Must Yield Before Turning
Clayton County accident report stated that on September 23, 2018 Vehicle 2 was traveling WB on Mt. Zion Blvd near the intersection of Rex Rd. Vehicle 1 came out of the BP Gas Station on Rex Rd exiting onto Rex Road. Driver 2 stated that she was on Rex Road traveling WB and advised that Vehicle 1 suddenly began to pull out of the station. She stated she blew her horn, but continued to pull into the roadway. She advised that Vehicle 1 hit the right side of Vehicle 2 as it was pulling out onto the roadway. Driver 1 stated that he was in the parking lot of the BP Station and was making a left onto Rex Road and did not see Vehicle 2 approaching. He stated that as he was pulling onto the roadway when Vehicle 1 struck Vehicle 2. Passenger 2 complained of pain but refused EMS treatment, while Passenger 1 was transported by EMS with complaints of pain. There was slight damage to both vehicles. Driver 1 was cited for failure to yield entering the roadway. Note: You must yield to traffic already in the roadway.
Vehicle Entering Must Yield
DeKalb County accident report stated that on September 23, 2018 based on the statements of the drivers and the physical evidence at the scene, the following was determined. Vehicle 1 struck the passenger side of Vehicle 2, while attempting to enter Rays Road, attempting to turn left (North). Driver 1 stated that she could not judge the speed of Vehicle 2 traveling South on Rays Road, and that she pulled into the road and hit Vehicle 2. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene. Slight damage was done to both vehicles. Driver 1 was cited for Failure to Yield Entering Roadway. Note: Whenever you enter the major road, you must yield.
