Cobb County accident report stated that on June 29, 2015 Driver 1 was traveling EB on Cooper Lake Drive and slowed down at the yield sign and to turn right onto S. Cobb Drive, but was unable to slow down in time due to faulty brakes. Driver 2 was traveling SB on S. Cobb Driver, and when Vehicle 1 failed to yield at the sign at Cooper Lake and S. Cobb, Vehicle 1 slammed into Vehicle 2. Driver 1 and passenger were both taken to WellStar Hospital and treated for injuries. Driver 1 was cited for failure to yield.
