Cobb County accident report stated that on March 6, 2015 Vehicle 1 was traveling in the center turn lane on NB Cobb Pkwy near Akers Mill. Vehicle 2 was turning left onto NB Cobb Pkwy from a private driveway. Vehicle 1 used the center lane traveling SB for approximately one mile, causing Vehicle 2 to slam into Vehicle 1 and due extensive damage to the right front bumper. Both drivers felt they were in the right, but an eyewitness confirmed that Vehicle 2 had been in that lane long before Vehicle 1. Slight injuries were reported from Driver 2. Driver 1 was cited for improper use of the center turn lane. Note: Priority attention in the center turn lane.
