Fulton County accident report stated that on July 2, 2015 an accident took place at the merge lane of Cleveland Avenue and I-75. Both drivers were traveling North on 75 in lane #2. Both were attempting to merge into lane #1, so as to merge off onto Cleveland Avenue. All parties concerned agreed that Driver 1 was already in the merge lane to I-75 when Driver 2, who was obviously going too fast to slowly merge into Lane 1. Upon swerving to make the exit, Driver 2 struck Vehicle 1 on the driver’s side. Neither driver, nor the passengers were injured and both were able to move their cars without incident. Driver 2 was charged with improper lane change. Note: Merge safely.
