Cobb County accident report stated that on March 24, 2015 Vehicle 1 pulled out of the Olive Garden’s parking lot on Cobb Parkway facing West and pulling onto NB Cobb Parkway. The 2nd vehicle, Vehicle 2, was already traveling North on Cobb Parkway in the outside straight lane. Driver 1 stated that as he exited the parking lot to turn right onto Cobb Pkwy, he looked and did not see any vehicles approaching, however as he pulled out and into the right turn lane, struck the front of Vehicle 2. Driver 2 had been driving in the straight lane on Windy Hill Road, when he saw the other car pulling out. He attempted to maneuver his vehicle into the inside lane but the driver’s side front bumper had already struck the front passenger side quarter panel of his vehicle. No injuries were reported and Driver 1 was issued a citation for failure to yield when entering/crossing a roadway. Note: Yielding is Must to Traffic IN the road!
